PATRICK TJUNGURRAYI (born circa 1935)
Acrylic on Belgian linen
153 x 183 cm
This painting depicts designs associated with the site of Myilili, near Jupiter Well.
In mythological times a large group of Tingari Men camped at this site before
traveling east and then north-east to Lake Mackay. The lines running through the
painting represent the tracks of the men as they passed between the sandhills.
Since events associated with the Tingari Cycle are of a secret nature no further
detail is given.
