This painting depicts designs associated with the rockhole and soakage water
site of Marrapinti, situated in a creek, west of the Pollock Hills, also Palunya
and Yunala two nearby sites. A group of women, represented by the ‘U’ shapes,
travelled through these sites. While at Marrapinti they performed the ceremonies
associated with the area. During their travels they gathered the edible berries
and seeds growing in the country through which they passed.
