JACKIE GILES TJAPALTJARRI (born circa 1935)

The designs in this painting relate to the site of Kaakuratinja (Lake MacDonald). In mythological times a large group of Tingari Men approached this site from the west. Since events associated with the Tingari Cycle are of a secret nature no further detail is given.

Jackie was born near Walukiritji (Gibson Desert) in the late 1930’s and is now living in
Patjarr, a remote Ngaanyatarra community with his family. He has been painting for several
years and is well known for his ‘Tingari’ story.
