This painting relates to the site of Marrapinti, just to the west of the Kiwirrkura
community. The roundel in the centre of the painting represents the rockhole
at Marrapinti. A large group of senior women camped at this site to perform ceremonies.
While in the area they gathered the edible berries kampurarrpa or desert raisin
from the small shrub Solanum centrale. These berries are eaten direct from the
bush and also ground and used to make a type of damper. The women later travelled
east passing through Wirrulngya and Ngaminya.
