This painting depicts designs associated with the swamp and rockhole site of Marawa, to the west of Lake Mackay. In mythological times a large group of Dingo Ancestors travelled from this site to nearby Kanapilta.

Warlimpirrnga Tjapaltjarri walked out of the desert in 1984. Prior to this he lived a traditional nomadic life in the country to the west of Lake Mackay.
