This painting depicts designs associated with the
site of Kirri Wirri, on the south western side of Lake Mackay. There
is an area of low lying country at this site which is transformed into
a shallow lake during periods of extended rain. In mythological times,
a large group of Tingari Men passed through this site during their travels
to Lake Mackay. After arriving at Lake Mackay the entire group perished
when they were trapped by a bushfire.
