Signed "Jack Britten 1993" on the stretcher and "Jack" to the reverse.

PROVENANCE
The Caspian Galleries, Sydney

This painting was originally purchased from Jack Britten by Mr Rick Chapman, who ran the general store in Turkey Creek from 1990 to 1995, and was a personal friend of the artist.

Mr Chapman also ran the local Community Development Project.

Jack Britten is a senior Gija lawman and has painted for approximately 20 years. His painting focuses on his country, its origins, ceremonies and ancestral figures.
