WARLIMPIRRNGA TJAPALTJARRI (born circa 1959)
Acrylic on Belgian linen
153 x 122 cm
This painting depicts designs associated with the swamp and rockhole site of Marawa, to the
west of Lake Mackay. In mythological times the Dingo Dreaming travelled to this site from
Yaka Yaka. A group of Tingari men also travelled from the south to Marawa and then to Lake
Mackay. Since events associated with the Tingari Cycle are of a secret nature no further
detail was given.
